We aren’t dead but we certainty haven’t been making any posts. So, here’s a quick update.

At the moment we are working on a smaller project. The main purpose of this project is for us to have fun developing it.  We are a bit burnt out on Valdis Story. It was a huge undertaking, one that we are very proud of but it was also pretty damn exhausting. Completing it took around 3 years. We’d like to develop games for a long time so we have to move on for now before we choke each other out.

How is this new project going to be more fun for us to develop?  As you might have seen in our previous production posts for Valdis Story, the game was higher resolution than normal which meant all assets involved a tedious process to create.  Our next game is a much smaller, less graphically intense project that will allow us to concentrate more on game play and will be a less stressful production process.

It’s also not going to be a platformer. I know we probably attracted a lot of new fans but if you’ve been paying attention to the games we’ve worked on before, then you know we never worked on the same genre twice in a row. Not that we won’t, but it’s really refreshing to design for entirely new systems.

I hope you’ll enjoy our upcoming posts about it. There’s no set time frame for it but it will be a hellova lot faster than Gilda’s patch!

Congrats on Valids Story again, and looking forward to what you guys come up with next!

  3. Myhr2 says:

Keeping an eye on you guys! Amazing dev team.

I only played Valdis, but your other games look fun too. I’m going to have to take a look at them. I hope you guys consider a sequel to Valdis at some point.

  5. Arisano says:

So, Valdis is finished? But 3 Lore sections are “Coming soon” still, hinting at more plans.

Genre bender is fine, so long, as the game itself is entertaining. And you know, how to make them so.

    • Kyron says:

Around what position are the 3 lore entrees missing for you? They should all be in the game so it may be a weird bug preventing them from unlocking or something I did on my end.

      • wyrddarcnyzz says:

The entry between Feral Puffer and Ruckjahl, and eight, nine, and ten from the bottom are all listed as “Coming Soon.”

        • Arisano says:

Between Feral Pusher and Ruckjahl must be Feral Manawar.
But 3 just above Goibniu Ghosts are the ones still.
Well, it may be just bug, I definitely haven’t unlocked them, even if they are implemented, but this must be fixed then.

        • Kyron says:

Between Ruckjahl and Puffer is the entry for the Feral Manawar that unlocks when you defeat it. If I’m counting correctly 8,9, and10th from the bottom (between Long gun and Goibniu ghosts) are entrees for various weapons for Gilda you may have missed. The weapons unlock when you have completed a play through where you’ve crafted those weapons.

If you defeated the Manawar (during the story mode, I don’t believe arena kills will trigger it) and it still didn’t unlock send an email to admin@endlessfluff and I’ll set a task to start looking into it. Same with the weapon entrees.

          • wyrddarcnyzz says:

Yeah, I asked about, it seems they’re still unlockable, I just haven’t gotten them yet. Not sure why they’re listed as “Coming Soon,” but it’s not a big deal. Sorry for the confusion.

          • Well, I’ve unlocked Manawar, after all.
It’s good, that they’re actually implemented, but such a bug is quiet confusing. Would you please fix it?

  6. wyrddarcnyzz says:

What Arisano said. Are those ever going to get patched in? I realize you guys are burnt out on VS, but to say that it’s complete when there are details that have been left out seems wrong to me.

At any rate, I’m certainly looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with, and I wish you luck in your upcoming endeavors.
